This policy explains what personal data Wedding Invites collects when you use weddinginvites.me, why we use it, and the choices you have. We aim to handle personal data in line with Egypt’s Personal Data Protection Law (Law No. 151 of 2020).

What we collect

Your account: your email address and password, which we store only as a secure hash. If you choose to sign in with Google, we also keep your Google account identifier.
Your invitation: the names, dates, places and words you enter, and the photos and music you upload. Photos are re-encoded to remove hidden data such as location.
Guest replies: when guests reply to an invitation, their name, whether they will attend, the number of guests and any note they add.
Payments: your order number, amount and payment status. Card details are entered on Paymob’s secure page and never reach us. At checkout we pass your name and phone number to Paymob for the payment; we do not keep them.
Technical information: your internet address is used briefly to find your country, so we show the right price, and to protect the site from abuse. We do not store it. We count visits anonymously, without cookies.
Messages: what you send us by email or WhatsApp, so we can help you.

How we use it

To run your invitation and deliver guest replies to you, to take payments and keep accounting records, to keep your account secure (for example, password reset emails), to answer your questions, and to understand in aggregate which pages and designs are used. We do not sell personal data or use it for advertising.

Who can see it

Anyone with your published invitation link can see what it shows: names, date, venue, your words, photo and music.
Only your account sees your guests’ replies and guest list.
Venue partners only see whether the promo codes they issued have been used, never drafts or guest lists.
Service providers that process data for us: Paymob (payments), Railway (hosting), Cloudflare (network and security), Resend (email delivery) and Google (only if you sign in with Google). Some of them store or process data outside Egypt.
Authorities, when the law requires it.

Cookies and browser storage

We use one essential cookie to keep you signed in, and a short-lived one that secures Google sign-in. There are no advertising or tracking cookies. Your browser also remembers your language, a design you haven’t saved yet and, for guests, a key that lets them update their reply.

How long we keep it

Your account: until you delete it. Invitations, with their photos, music and guest replies, are deleted five days after your first wedding anniversary, or when you delete your account. Unpublished drafts are deleted a year after their wedding date, and photos or songs that no invitation uses are deleted after two weeks.
Payment records: as long as accounting and tax rules require. When you delete your account, they are kept without your email or invitation details.
Deleted data can remain in backup copies for a limited time, until those copies are replaced.

Your choices and rights

You can see and correct your details in your account at any time, and delete your account yourself in Account settings. You can also ask us for a copy of your data, or to correct or delete it, by writing to [email protected]. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to Egypt’s Personal Data Protection Center. Guests who want to change or remove a reply can ask the couple who invited them, or contact us.

Security

Connections are encrypted (HTTPS), passwords are stored only as secure hashes, and photos and music on unpublished invitations can only be opened from their owner’s account. No system is perfectly secure; if a security incident affects your data, we will inform you and the authorities as the law requires.

Children

Accounts and payments are for adults. Guests of any age can view an invitation.

Changes to this policy

When we change this policy, we update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we will also tell you on the site or by email.
